The purpose of this meeting was to provide technical recommendations for updates to Spectrum and accompanying estimation tools. Specific objectives included reviewing new methods for estimating the first ‘90’ of the UNAIDS ’90-90-90’ goals, planned implementation of the HIVE model and key updates and method development for the Spectrum and EPP models.
The meeting of the UNAIDS Reference Group was held at the Institute for Social and Preventive Medicine, University of Bern in Bern, Switzerland, 18-19 September 2018. The meeting featured presentations and group discussion to generate consensus recommendations. The programme was divided into the following sessions:
- Review of model development
- EPP updates
- Spectrum updates
